Tour Scotland video of the John Eugene Crombie memorial stained glass window in St Machar's Cathedral on visit to Aberdeen. Born 30th April 1896, died 23rd April 1917. He was born at 91 Onslow Square, London, the only son of John William Crombie, Liberal MP for Kincardineshire. Eugene as he was always known was a Captain in the Gordon Highlanders who was Killed in Action, St. George's Day, 1917. He was also a War Poet and here is one of his poems. Easter Day, 1917, The Eve of the Battle.
