I had read so many nice reviews about Edinburgh so in my mind I had a picture of a fairy place. Old buildings, misty climate, an atmosphere of mystery...... Taking a drive from the airport to the Hotel .....and I could not believe my eyes. More than my expectations!!! All those nice buildings both on the hill and at the banks were all so beautifully lit that Magic was in the air, everywhere. I was anxious to see now the hotel. I had booked at The Royal Terrace Hotel, and from it we had a nice view. The Hotel was ok, but compared to what we paid we were not given an upper room, and although clean, the rooms were very small. .....That was a kind of disappointment for me I can admit. I was anxious to get up the next morning and start discovering the place. For a start we decided to follow the young people who are willing to give the tourist a walking tour and they get paid after the stroll is over. We tried that....but they were telling everything in such detail that 45 minutes later we were found in the same place where we started. We were tired and wanted to leave and take the Majestic Tour as it was called...the double decked bus. We had tickets for 2 days. We saw everything without getting off at first, but ...
