Blizzard: Drumochter Pass, Scotland. Jan 08 [01:52]
We were on our way south through the Scottish highlands from Orkney, in reasonably good weather when we were suddenly caught in this blizzard on the A9, close to Drumochter summit. We barely moved for an hour or so, but were eventually directed slowly in to Dalwhinnie village where after another hour or two in the car were given shelter in the community centre with lots of hot tea. Thank you kind people of Dalwhinnie!

Fireworks Torchlight Procession Pt.6 Edinburgh, Scotland [04:25]
Amazing fireworks from all directions to wrap up the Torchlight Procession on Calton Hill. Nobody does fireworks like the Scots. You literally feel like you could reach out and touch them you're so close. It's amazing beyond words.

Edinburgh Festival Fringe Fancies 2010 Part V [01:54]
As we enter September the Edinburgh Festival closes and the vast crowds ebb away from the streets so recently filled with superb entertainers. This film shows some late night scenes shot near the end of the festival. Throughout August the festival brings entertainers and crowds to the streets. It is a good time to wander around taking pictures. Edinburgh is lively from early morning to late at night when the festival is in full swing. It is quite surprising to walk in the quite evening enjoying the night colours of the city after the crowds have melted away. Somehow it seems that you see into the eyes of the city. It appears that you can see past the veil and look directly into both the history and possible future of the capital. The architecture stands out more when there is less hustle and bustle to distract you and less necessity to watch out for cars and performers. The August evenings in Edinburgh can frame for you the glittering smiling eyes that have been so well set in the face of this beautiful European capital city. There are little nods and bows in the forms and facets of the buildings to many western styles. This film shows the thoroughfare of the Royal Mile which is the cobble pupil at the centre of Scotland's capital eye and the buildings around the cobbles form the bright edge of the fascinating iris of Edinburgh.

Church of the Holy Rude HD [05:03]
The Church of the Holy Rude is the second oldest building in Stirling, Scotland, after the Castle. The church was founded in 1129 during the reign of David I (1124 - 1153) as the parish church of Stirling. Nothing of the original structure now remains due to a fire. Construction on the new nave was underway by 1414, and based on the heraldry the vault of the nave was completed between 1440 and 1480. Work on the chancel did not commence until 1507 and completed around 1530 which was when the west tower was also extended to its current height. King James VI was crowned King of Scots on 29 July 1567; John Knox performed the ceremony. This makes the Church of the Holy Rude and Westminster Abbey the only churches in Britain still in use to this day that have been the sites of coronations. Produced with CyberLink PowerDirector
