  • Scottish Photo Galleries

On my own site I have a number of recently added photo galleries from my travels around Scotland. So far these include Bridges, Castles, Celtic Crosses, Churches, Distilleries, Doocots, Lighthouses, Lochs, Mercat Crosses, Mountains, Rivers, Standing Stones and Sunsets!

I wish just now I was living my own dream - its been a while since I've been further than 10 miles from home

I thought you said in another thread, that this year you've travelled round more of Scotland than any other year?

That is very true, but since we returned from the last trip (around the last week of July!) we've not gone that far... the furthest was probably Roslin Chapel about a month ago!

What a funny wee website. Why is it called Scotland from the Roadside? Can you not be arsed getting out the car?

Funny? First time its been described as that... and believe me its had good and not so good comments! However, the title is just part of the story... tho on the last trip (the one with the wheelchair!) staying in the car seemed like a good idea at times... however, some of the photos would be impossible if we didn't get out and walk a bit!

Like Davaar? Perhaps it should be renamed "Scotland, occasionally from the roadside".

Yea Davaar is a good example... while it is possible to drive over to the island (tho a 4x4 might be advisable!) getting to the cave is another matter (even with a 4x4!)... anyway, I think I'll stick with the title as it is for now - tho in the future it might change (again!)

PHOTO GALLERY? It's more like a Photo Morgue - a place where photos go to die. Never have I seen soo many over-exposed and underdeveloped pictures in my life.

Whats with the over-saturated bluish cold "haze" you got goin' on in most of your photos? Some even look at though they've been taken using a mobile phone?

The only good thing I enjoyed after my 2 minutes of browsing, what hitting the 'home' button on my browser.

What exactly is the subject we're looking at?

Small images do not do your site any justice.

If your going to pass it off as a photo gallery, please read the instruction manual of your camera, before subjecting us to more crap like that. It's a shame, as your text is quite informative, but the photos put visitors right off.
