Is "mons meg" a Scottish term? Please let me know. Thank you.

Mons Meg refers specifically to a large Medieval cannon that was given as a gift to the Scottish crown from a French Duke. It was made in the Beligium city of Mons hence it is called Mons Meg and is kept at Edinburgh castle.

A 'thank you' wouldn't have gone amiss, here, Mavericker.

      Cheers Andy.

If there is a different definition, I have never heard of it.

As a Scot I can assure you there is no other usage of the term Mons Meg.

There's another definition given in the OED second edition-I'll have to get back to you on that.
