  • "Blue Eyes" in Gaelic?

We've got a 5 week old cat and I've been trying to think of a name for it.

If "blue eyes" in Scottish Gaelic sounds at all nice, I'd like to go with that.

Thanks in advance for the help.

    here you go...

    suilean gorm.

The gorm is the blue part as in the montains Cairngorm or Blue Mountains.

    pronunication - shoo - ay - lin - gorm.

my Grandfather passed away many years agos.

But he used to to say "I love you" in Gaelic.

I do not believe I am saying/pronouncing it right.

      HELP.

      Thanks.

I think "Suilean Liath" is more natural Gaelic "Grey Eyes" literally.

(Two can play at George Orwell quotes)
"In this country I don’t think it is enough realized—I myself had no idea of it until a few years ago—that Scotland has a case against England."

Gorm-shůil is found in many songs for blue-eyes.

....nan gorm-shůil meallach (....of the enchanting, blue eyes)

why not call your cat that. Pronounced "Gurrum-hool"

              Pearlms,

              Tapa leibh!

              The phrases were very helpful.
