i have written a 400 word essay on the Scots language and my tutor wants it to be in Scots, but ahím nae guid at scrievin in Lallans - ah micht can read it only. You know, itís difficult to substitute Scots words in the place of English words if you are not a native speaker of Scots (and of English). But what i find really difficult about Scots is its grammar.

    Grammar? Whit grammar?

Scrievin can be difficult fur 'foreigners' cos they get the rythm of wur speech patterns wrang - but, remember, thur ur differences in patterns, depending on whaur yer fae.... ah mean, I'd spier and scrieve slightly differently tae a Westie ur a Weegie - an that's afore ye get intae Doric anat!
