    hi Polwarth - I'd see "eneugh" as more authentic than a simple phonetic spelling like "enuf", but maybe that's just me. I do find it fun, like any language , seeing where the different derivations come from, insofar as much is of Germanic root, but words like e.g."screiving" have a Latin root. Funny how people manage to forget sometimes that the the English language is itself an astonishing creole mix - sometimes treating it as though it dropped from the sky ready-made!

    Ah , but then that would be those that are sure God is an Englishman, of course, whereas I am equally sure that she is not!
