  • Work for Brain Perks

The next time your boss gives you a complicated project, thank her. Having a mentally challenging job in your 30's, 40's, and 50's may protect you from Alzheimer's disease (AD). People without AD were more likely to have held jobs that required creative tinking, problem solving, or juggling a variety of responsibilities.

... or juggling a variety of responsibilities.
LOL! I never realized that having a two-year-old running about the house while I keep up a nutrition blog, a hypoglycemia website, and work my economics textbook business... would keep my brain healthy. Quite the contrary - I usually feel my brain is somewhat fried! Today, for example, I taught a bit from my econ book at my older son's school and felt particularly "juggled"! Good information, though, thanks!
