hi folks,I am trying to trace my family who left mull around 1802 sailing to canada and landing at prince edward island. My ggggrandfather dugald mackinley died and was buried on mull between 1796 and 1802 we don't know where for sure . His wife catherine (campbell) mackinley sailed from cban around 1802 ,ship unknown, with her 3 children. donald b.1788,catherine b.1790? and john b.1796 They landed at P.E.I. and settled at north river, they named their farm obanlea. the family still resides there to this day. Donald married a mckinnon girl and his line of ancestors are the ones who still live at obanlea .Catherine the daughter married a mcinnes and their line lived in p.e.i. John left and settled in mirimachi new brunswick.he married Hanah Clark in 1832. I am descended from Johns line.Every avenue i have tried to trace has led to a blank concerning anyone further back than dugald and catherine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. kindest regards karl mckinley
