Old Logie Kirk & Graveyard - Dating from 1124 [00:58]
2 miles NE of town centre, off A91 A beautiful site on the banks of the Logie Burn beneath the hill of Dumyat. This ruined kirk dates from around 1684 although, a church at Logie is first mentioned in a charter by the Bishop of Dunblane from 1178. In the graveyard there are almost a hundred stones which bear dates earlier than 1707. Overgrown and wild, this atmospheric place has long been associated with legends of witches. Carlie Crag looms over the churchyard and around 1720, witches were believed to rendezvous with the evil one who would appear in the form of a large, black dog. An alternative route to Logie Kirk is to walk from Bridge of Allan along Back O' Dykes. On the road to Bridge of Allan, go past the entrance to Stirling University and take a right turn into Kenilworth Road. Take the next right onto Sheriffmuir Road and where the road starts to turn and climb steeply you will see the entrance toBack O' Dykes. This road follows the estate wall which borders the university. Keep going straight on past the cottage at the end of the road and you will come to Logie Old Kirk.

Brig O' Doon & Alloway Auld Kirk [04:21]
The Brig O' Doon is a medieval-era bridge which features prominently in the last verse of "Tam O' Shanter" by Robert Burns. The bridge is located near Alloway in South Ayrshire in Scotland and crosses the River Doon. The nearby old Alloway Kirk was the scene for the witches' dance in the same poem.

Dunning Ford Scotland [00:37]
Dunning Ford, Perthshire, Scotland. Dunning is the site of a Roman marching camp and a prehistoric fort. The village, which was burned by the Jacobites in 1715, also saw the burning of witches and was home to St Serf who, in the legend, killed the last dragon in Scotland.
