Laying Down Black Watch Colours Perth Perthshire Scotland [01:31]
Tour Scotland video of photographs of the Laying Down Of The Black Watch Colours on visit to Perth, Perthshire. 51st Highland Volunteers, Pipers and Drummers, red hackled veterans, serving troops and young Army cadets were in attendance at the South Inch where the official Laying Down Of The Black Watch Colours ceremony took place. Scotland - Culloden Battlefield [03:29]
We were heading back from our three-day Timberbush Tours trip to the Highlands and Skye. Angela, our driver/guide, suggested stopping at Culloden. Since none of us had ever been there before, we all jumped at the chance. We arrived late in the day with just enough time to watch the amazing 360 degree filmed re-enactment of the battle, check out a few of the museum exhibits and walk the battlefield itself. When I got to the memorial cairn I realized it was actually the anniversary of the battle.

Watchtower Auld Aisle Cemetery Kirkintilloch East Dunbartonshire Scotland [00:37]
Tour Scotland video of the watchtower in the Auld Aisle cemetery on visit to Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire. The cemetery formed the grounds of St Ninian's Church, a pre-Reformation parish church. St Ninian's was abandoned after 1659, following the division of the old parish of Lenzie into Cumbernauld and Kirkintilloch. The watchtower dates from the early 18th century, and the gate lodge was built when the cemetery was extended in 1863. The cemetery contains the graves of 38 Commonwealth service personnel, 17 from World War I and 21 from World War II.
