Skye, The beautiful Island. The Quirang [09:42]
Take a virtual tour of the Quirang, a hill walkers & climbers paradise on the Hebridean Island of Skye. Difficult to do true justice in a video to the sheer breathtaking beauty of this Island, but see what you think as you walk amongst the volcanic pinnacles, rock faces, and grassy tables and hills of this area. Situated at the northern end of the Trotternish Ridge, the largest landslip in Europe, the Quirang offers a wide range of climbs & walks. From the easy to the extremely difficult amidst the most exhilerating seascape & landscape scenery. Oh and let me know what YOU think. Railmon.

Wishbone Ash 'Sometime World' soundtrack:Beinn Bhuidhe non-monetized video [08:21]
Theres an almost 30-second delay on this live track before the music starts - but its still a top quality booleg! Different aspects of the Munro Beinn Bhuidhe via Glens Fyne and Shirra to a live Wishbone Ash version of 'Sometime World' recorded Rythmeposten, Odense, Denmark 2 Feb 2001. I met a man who felt the same way, That the world had passed him by. Told me all his troubles, That the world had made him cry. Life had kept him waiting, Regretting his pain inside. Had to feel underrated, And hated, besides. Life had kept him waiting, Regretting his shame inside. Had to feel underrated, And hated, besides. Sometime world, pass me by again, Carry you, carry me, away. (Repeat twice) The video contain four separate walks: Walk 1 contains a great view over to the Cruachan mountain range and also undoubtedly the best views of the main summit ridge of Beinn Bhuidhe itself - above Glen Shirra where near the confluence of the Shirra and Brannie Burns the remains of Rob Roy's house is located. Walk 3 is the summit ascent from where north-east, east and south Ben Lui, Ben Vorlich, Ben Lomond and Ben Ime can all be spotted. Seton Gordon from his 1951 "Highlands of Scotland" recalls: "The eagle who suns himself on the cairn of Beinn Bhuidhe and the wild geese which pass overhead each autumn on their southward migration must have seen some strange sights on the Loch Fyne hills - armed men fighting mock batlles out on the high gloomy corries, often mist filled. Hill Walks in Pictures...Beinn Odhar, Southern Highlands of Scotland [05:40]
Pictures of the route up this easy to climb mountain, form which you get fantastic views. The return route is more difficult over steep and rough ground....but of course you can always just come down the ascent route, which you would do if you think the Crom Allt would be difficult to cross. I'm reasonably sure the labels naming the mountains in the summit view pictures are correct, but if you know different, please do tell !
