Callendar Park & House [05:08]
Callendar House is a mansion set within the grounds of Callendar Park in Falkirk, central Scotland. Its present form, in the style of a French Renaissance château, dates from the 19th century, although at its core is a 14th-century tower house. During its 600-year history, Callendar House has played host to many prominent historical figures, including Mary, Queen of Scots, Oliver Cromwell, Bonnie Prince Charlie and Queen Victoria. The current building is by far the most substantial historical building in the area, with a 300 ft (91 m) frontage. Callendar House became derelict and was boarded up until 1997, but has been extensively restored and houses an extensive museum and heritage centre, including a restored 1825 fully working kitchen, with costumed interpreters creating an exciting interactive experience. It is set in the nationally-important historic designed landscape of Callendar Park, which also contains a section of the Antonine Wall World Heritage Site. The 170 acre woodlands and gardens host a number of interesting historical features including an Arboretum, Ornamental Gardens and a family Mausoleum, as well as a boating lake and childrens play areas.

The Crafter's Song - Tartan Day on Ellis Island [16:39]
"The Crafter's Song" was the first documentary film produced in America about National Tartan Day. Narrated by Academy Award-winning actor Cliff Robertson, the film was produced by the Clan Currie Society in collaboration with Metaphor Pictures of New York. The film explores Tartan Day through the eyes of four of Scotland's premiere crafters during their exhibition on Ellis Island in 2003 as part of the Clan Currie Society's annual Tartan Day on Ellis Island program produced in partnership with the National Museums of Scotland. Each craft represents part of Scotland's "portable culture" that was brought with Scottish immigrants to North America from Colonial times to the present. Featured in the film are Hamish Moore - the celebrated bagpipe maker, teacher and international performer, Wilma Couper - a knitter with the Shetland Working Textile Museum, Robert McBain - a master tailor and kilt maker, and Colin Adamson - a producer of violins, violas and cellos for world class musicians. In addition, the crafters are joined by New York violinist, Lisa Gutkin - a performer with the contemporary Celtic band, Whirligig. The award-winning documentary debuted on YouTube on Tartan Day, April 6, 2012 in tribute to Cliff Robertson, who died on September 10, 2011 -- one day past his 88th birthday.

My Scotland Trip Part 1 [02:11]
For 3 days I ventured through the countryside of Scotland with a tour group by the name of Haggis Adventures. (We did all eat some Haggis, too! It was pretty good.) This is the first video of four, and it's footage of my train ride in the UK on the way to Edinburg, Scotland. I walked through the streets to a hotel for the first night there and the tour started the next morning. I captured the bagpiper and the man on the violin. Their music is as much a memory of my trip as the pictures are.
