After the high, highs of Staffa, we had to come back down to Earth. The plan was to launch at Calgary, and head out around Treshnish, but alas the wind put paid to it. So back to Tobermory, and Matt decides to have a paddle around the bay. I was totally dis-interested, but put the boat in, to compare it unloaded, as to fully loaded, for the previous 2 days out around Staffa.Conditions were perfect now, apart from being overcast, and a bit monochrome, but it turned out to be a wonderful little trip, and I'm really glad I did it, in fact, I wish we'd gone out much earlier, and made a full day of it.
Scotland Basking Shark Trip 2012 [06:22]
Snorkeled with rare and weird looking basking sharks in western Scotland. Videos taken with Panasonic TM700 in Recsea housing and Panasonic GH2 in Nauticam Housing. Went to Lunga Island on the last day of the trip and saw lots of seabirds including puffins. Most videos on land were taken with Sony alpha A57 and Panasonic TM700.
