Northern Belle Action on the E&G - 18-08-12 + 19-08-12 [01:24]
Some footage and a still photograph of the latest Northern Belle action in Scotland featuring 47790, 47832, 37419, 37423 and 37602. 1. 5Z50 - Northern Belle liveried Class 47s 47790 'Galloway Princess' and 47832 'Solway Princess' take the Northern Belle ECS from Edinburgh to Cadder Yard past Bo'ness Jn having come up the WCML earlier that afternoon and setting down the passengers at Waverley. 2. (Still Image) 5Z39 - DRS 37419 leads the stock back into Edinburgh to collect the passengers once again. 37423 and 37602 are on the rear. Seen at Park Farm. 3. 1Z39 - Once again at Park Farm, DRS 37602 and 37423 'Spirit of the Lakes' lead the train back west to Oban with 419 bringing up the rear. Enjoy!

37606 & 37604 on The Glasgow Avoider on Sat 19th May 2012. [01:41]
Footage of The Retro Railtours Diesel Special 'The Glasgow Avoider'. We see DRS Class 37606 and 37604 in charge of the tour climbing up to Copy Pit Summit at 7.30 am in the morning running around 10 minutes early on Saturday 19th May 2012. 5043 hauling 'Castle to Scotland' 28-05-2012 [03:51]
After the sunshine and gales of the weekend, the wind finally dropped in time for the return leg of Vintage Trains' 'Castle to Scotland' from Edinburgh to Tyseley which utilised no less than 3 locomotives-5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe', 37516 as a pilot loco behind the Earl and 47760 on the rear of the train. We first see the train coasting through Oxenholme running 7 minutes early, before the water stop at Carnforth. Here, 47760 was removed from the train leaving 5043 & 37516 to haul the train back to Tyseley. The final location is Leyland, where arguably the 2 greatest sounds on rail are expreienced in just one shot. The train is first seen moving slowly between red signals behind the procession of class 156's, both of which called at Leyland only a couple of minutes before and had also been stopped at signals. As the section beyond Leyland to Euxton Junction finally clears, 5043 slowly begins to accelerate, then when 2 sections become clear, 37516 steals the show by opening up into full thrash mode just before entering the station to make it up the bank to Euxton Junction.
