St Monans Parish Church At The Edge Of The Sea East Neuk Of Fife Scotland [00:48]
Tour Scotland video of St Monans Parish Church located at the edge of the sea in the East Neuk of Fife. It is often said that this is the Scottish church closest to the sea in the whole of Scotland, and this is surely the case, being only around 50 feet from the edge. The church, one of the finest remaining from the Middle Ages in Scotland, was built by King David II who was King of Scots from 7th June 1329 until his death. It was built initially for a small house of Dominican friars. It later became a Church of Scotland parish church. I was raised in the East Neuk of Fife and spent almost all my young life playing on the rocks and beaches of this coastline
