Maid of the Loch - Historic Ship [01:41]
The Paddle Steamer was the last side-wheeler to be built on the River Clyde at Pointhouse in 1953 , the same yard as built the famous Waverley in 1946 , and has spent all of her life in the waters of Scotland's premier loch , Loch Lomond ever since , a true local ship. Although static at the moment , plans are slowly moving to get her running again for the first time since the 1980's. Members of the public can go onboard the ship free of charge but a good donation always helps. The loch is a great place for all types of water sport as seen here.
