SCOTLAND, THE CORRAN FERRY HOTEL [02:18]
The Corran Ferry Hotel is the only hotel on the Corran Narrows offering both hotel and hostel accommodation. It was built in 1743 and subsequently has had many additions. The history of the location means that it has witnessed the aftermath of the battle at Culloden and has testimony from the location as an important crossing for Ardnamurchan Peninsula, The Isle of Mull and Moidart . The Corran Ferry Hotel stands 25 metres from the slipway for the ferry ( the crossing is £6.70 per car and free for pedestrians and bicycles ) and adjacent to a small beach which is more than adequate for launching Kayaks and Canoes. It is very easy to find and stands by the A82 . We have at the neighbouring village of Ballachulish the start of a dedicated bicycle hard road that stretches to Glencoe and to Oban taking in some phenomenal landscapes. Mountain Biking, climbing, scrambling and hill walking couldn't be easier in access and with our bar almost ready for use with a selection of real Ales, whiskys and wines to please most people. Bar Meals and restaurant meals adopt a mixture of styles and aim to please both in qualitity and quantity. So expect home made pies, curries, baked fish, goulasz, pasta and paella as standard fayre with additions as specials. Carry out lunches are available on request. Cuando empieze a hervir de nuevo, se incorpora el arroz y el azafran. El fuego ha de estar fuerte hasta que aparezcan bambollas y se vea el arroz.
