Dunkeld and Cathedral. [03:04]
Dunkeld Cathedral stands on the north bank of the River Tay in Dunkeld, Perthshire. Built in square-stone style of predominantly grey sandstone, the Cathedral proper was begun in 1260 and completed in 1501. It stands on the site of the former Culdee Monastery of Dunkeld, stones from which can be seen as an irregular reddish streak in the eastern gable. In 1689 the Battle of Dunkeld was fought around the Cathedral between the Jacobite Highlanders loyal to James 11 and V11 and a government force supporting William of Orange, with the latter winning the day.

'Great Marquis' on the Inverness to Kyle line [09:06]
Filmed at Loch Carron and Kyle of LochAlshe in Scotland during the 'Great Briton III' steam rail tour. A rather weezy 'Great Marquis' nevertheless looks spectacular weaving in and out of the bays along Scotlands most beautiful Loch. Steam on this amazing line is now extremely rare, so its every credit to the Railway Touring Company for organising this brilliant rail tour. Incidentally I saw the 'Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) above the Loch the night before. Scotland is so Beautiful.
