He lived in Tigerton in Menmuir, Angus in 1841. He lived in Lethnot and Navar in 1851. In 1855 Alexander was a Farm Servant in Newhouse, Glamis. He lived in Newton in Glamis, Angus in 1855. He lived in Myreton in Murroes in 1856. Alexander lived in Hillhead in Kirriemuir in 1858. Between 1861 and 1881 he was a County Police Constable in Forfar. He lived in New Road, Forfar in 1861. Alexander lived at 76 Castle Street in Forfar in 1862. He lived at 25 Manor Street in Forfar in 1863. He lived in 8 Esk Street, Craig in 1871. In 1871 Alexander was an a county constable in Craig. He lived at 1 West Terrace, Craig in 1881. Alexander lived in Burnside House, West Terrace, Ferryden, Craig in 1901. In 1901 he was an Inspector of the Poor in Craig. He died on 11th of December 1902 at the age of 69 in Burnside House, West Terrace, Ferryden, Craig.

Some scenes from a wonderful week in Fort William, Scotland during October 2012 with mostly clear skies and very still conditions. The sequence showing the opening of the road and rail swing bridges at Banavie has been speeded up.
