Carrick Hills, Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland. Light Aircraft Plane Crash.....? (12nov2011) [00:31]
We were up at the Carrick Hills above Ayr and Dunure, overlooking the Firth of Clyde listening to some CB and amateur radio transmissions, mostly from America (KB0EO, Dan from Minnesota in this video), when this light aircraft turned and appeared to drop suddenly into a valley. To the uneducated (me!), it dissappeared below the horizon, looking like it wasn't coming back up. Obviously the pilot had a better idea of the situation than I did, as it reappeared a few seconds later. No emergency. No crash, no drama. No eyebrows were removed by a big fireball in the making of this video! Recorded using a Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ9 on WVGA mode

Landing and Fair Isle, Scotland, in G-BMIW in May 2009 [00:44]
Returning south from our landings on Shetland in PA28 Archer G-BMIW, John handles the flight into Fair Isle's gravel runway filmed by Paul. The video picks up on the downwind leg after a go-around which John insists was a runway inspection circuit! The whole story of John, Paul and Andy's 5-day trip from Shoreham is being published in UK's Pilot Magazine - February 2010 edition.
