In memory of David of Denark and Argyle Brewery, a Councillor and Magistrate of this city who died on the 23rd of August 1890. Also in memory of his wife Amelia Bonthrone who was born in Auchtermuchty, Fife in 1841 and who died on the 16th of June, 1891.

A most noble and esteemed spirit which slips down voluminously about the thrapple. A most splendid evening. Next time, Gogsie checks out the resurrected Glengyle distillery a few paces down the road from Springbank, until then it's uisge mhtah!

A panoramic view taken from the Partick Bridge which spans the River Kelvin at the western end of Argyle Street in Glasgow, Scotland. Moving anti-clockwise the buildings are the old Museum of Transport (it closed on 18 April 2010 in preparation for relocation to the Riverside Museum building at Glasgow Harbour), the Kelvin Hall, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and Glasgow University's main building with its 177ft bell tower.
