The Irvine Burns Club is one of the oldest continually existing Burns Clubs in the World. It was founded in 2nd June 1826 by twelve members of whom five were known to Robert Burns, and two were once his close friends. The Irvine Burns Club & Museum has an excellent collection of Burns artifacts, including: manuscripts, sketches, letters, books and artwork. Video to pay tribute to the Homecoming of the soldiers of The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland after their brave 6 month tour in Afghanistan. Clips come from Fort George, near Inverness in Scotland (Sunday 8th April 2012) and in the city of Dundee on Friday 20th April 2012 where they were they paraded and marched through the city centre in front of their proud and adoring public. Support our Troops. I am extremely proud to have been brought up in the Black Watch family, with my father being in the regiment for 22 years, my 3 uncles, countless friends and now my little brother has just returned after his stint in Afghanistan, a very PROUD Scot I am.
