Scottish Furniture and Interiors Showcase, Clerkenwell Design Week, 2012 [02:39]
Forty-five leading interior textiles companies and furniture makers from across Scotland joined forces to create a unique one-off exhibition at Clerkenwell Design Week in London 2012. Showcasing cutting-edge product and design capabilities, leading well-known interior textiles designers and manufacturers were presented alongside internationally-recognised furniture makers. The event also unveiled a number of never-seen-before bespoke collaborations between Scottish furniture makers and textiles brands created exclusively for the three-day 2012 event in Clerkenwell -- an area renowned for more architects and interior designers per square mile than anywhere else in the world. Tweed & Till walk, Northumberland. © [01:15]
This circular walk starts by Twizel bridge on the Berwick to Cornhill Road and follows the River Till under the railway bridge to the confluence with the River Tweed. It then follows the Tweed eastwards before cutting across the field to head up a bank where it meets a country road. Here you go straight ahead along the road, past some cottages on the right until the road bears left. After a short distance you reach a stile on the right. Cross the stile and head diagonally across the field past Twizel Castle on the right until you reach a stile in the bottom right corner of the field. This takes you onto a track which heads back down hill with the river below to reach your starting point. This walk is approximately 4.5 miles long and is graded easy. For reference I got this walk from Walks in the Secret Kingdom by Edward Baker which is no longer in print. Wherever you go stay safe, plan ahead, let people know where you are going, take maps & compass with your gps and follow the country code. It is best to ask permission to camp outside of official campsites although the law for campers is different in Scotland and England. Music : Benny Hawes. Drift
