Keep Scotland Beautiful is the charity that's at the heart of the Scottish Government's vision of our enjoying a cleaner, greener, safer and fairer Scotland. It's been operating now for over 40 years, moving on from its initial campaigns to clean up the country to a new focus on the environment, sustainable development and community engagement. One part of its responsibilities is to award the "Blue Flag" to the best beaches and shore lines around our coasts. The latest to receive the accolade is Portobello, otherwise known as Edinburgh's Seaside.
