A video featuring the sights within the Shielhill Glen in the hills above Greenock. The "Old Roman Bridge" wrongly named where when Inverkip was the only place of worship the people of Greenock used to stop and put their shoes into a small square cut out in the side of the bridge, before washing the mud off their feet and enabling them to go to church with clean shoes. Also featured is the relics of the Greenock water works which were designed by Robert Thom to provide power to drive the waterwheels for the towns industries and fresh water for the townsfolk. A cave, deep in the valley of the glen, is also featured where in the Great Depression of the 1930s the men of Greenock used to go to to meet and pass the time.
