Arran: The Isle of Arran itself is located in south-western Scotland, in the Firth of Clyde near Glasgow from where a combined boat and train ticket can be purchased [£20.10 - August 2012, Glasgow Central Station]. Measuring approximately 167 square miles (433 km2) in area, the Island has a population of approximately 5000. Although the seventh largest island in Scotland, Arran is not technically one of the Hebrides, being the southernmost of the Scottish islands. Arran is just 20-miles long and 56-miles round and in the Gaelic means 'peaked island'. Often referred to as 'Scotland in Miniature', Arran offers visitors a compact and easily accessible island that mimics the geology of mainland Scotland, with a sparsely populated and mountainous northern half that contains the Corbetts Beinn Tarsuinn, Cir Mhor, Caisteal Abhail and Goatfell as well as the Graham Beinn Bharrain, with a flatter, more populous southern half. Located close to Glasgow and Scotland's Ayrshire coast, Arran is a popular and easily accessible tourist destination and of course, a walker's paradise, with walks of every single description imaginable. From Brodick an all-day ticket on the 324 bus takes you round to Lochranza and the commencement of the gentle hillwalk over to Laggan to the remote white-painted Laggan Cottage, followed by the resultant easy Coastal Path route to Sannox and then by roadside to Corrie. 20 Mile Pink Ribbonwalk From Scone Palace Perth Perthshire Scotland May 12th 2012 [04:05]
Tour Scotland video of part of the 20 Mile Pink Ribbonwalk raising funds for Breast Cancer Care from Scone Palace by Perth, Perthshire. In this video walkers are walking through Scone Woods to the village of New Scone. From there the walkers continued along forest trails through Muirward Wood until they reached the ruins of Cambusmichael Church. From there they dropped down to the tree lined banks of the River Tay and enjoyed wonderful views along the scenic river path before returning to Scone Palace. It was a lovely morning for the start of this Charity fundraising walk.

He was the son of John Alexander Dewar, 1st Baron Forteviot and Johann Todd. He married, firstly, Marjory Winton Isobel Heaton-Ellis, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Henry Brabazon Heaton-Ellis and Marion Pringle McCarthy, on 27th November 1919. He married, secondly, Muriel Cecil Harriott Heaton-Ellis, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Henry Brabazon Heaton-Ellis and Marion Pringle McCarthy, on 20th August 1946.3 He died on 24th October 1947 at age 62. He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England. He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. He fought in the First World War, with the Scottish Horse. He was decorated with the award of Military Cross (MC) He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant of Perthshire. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (JP) for Perthshire. He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Dewar, of Dupplin, on 23rd November 1929. He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron Forteviot, of Dupplin on 23rd November 1929. He was charman of Distillers Company. He was Brigadier of the Royal Company of Archers. He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 6th and 7th Battalion, Black Watch. Cathkin Braes Country Park (Student Tours Scotland STS 208) [00:47]
The highest point in the City of Glasgow - Cathkin Braes Country Park. It offers some fantastic views across the entire city and beyond. Not the easiest to get to but regular buses will take you there via the Castlemilk Estate or Carmunnock Village.
