On Monday 16th July 2012, a new service began from Edinburgh in Scotland to Istabul in Turkey. They sent their most colourful plane a B737-80 to receive the water cannon salute!

Fly Dubai B737 transits Glasgow Airport [03:56]
Sunday 13th February 2010, I'd seen every hour on the clock thanks to "Man Flu", when I checked my Blackberry at 7am, I spotted that this Fly Dubai aircraft was being delivered from the Boeing plant in Seattle to Dubai. Like those that have preceeded it, they stopoff at Glagow Airport to refuel. I TXT'd Ray and Stewart to see if they were interested in heading through for the 8.40am landing and 10.00 am takeoff. Stewart responded, and I callled Ray but his phone was switched off. We arrived with 5 mins to spare and decanted the car at the Loganair hanger (yes the crabbit ginger smoker bloke was there as usual) where we captured the landing and taxi to stand 34. We then headed to Gate 5 to catch the takeoff. All of this is done using the Nikon D3100 camera and 70-300 VR lens. Sorry about not getting you Ray, hopefully next time mate.

KLM B737-900 in SkyTeam colours taking off from Edinburgh Airport [00:36]
I decided to use the Nikon D3100 DSLR in 1080p video mode with the Nikor 70-300 VR lens to capture the KLM Boeing 739 take off from Ebinburgh Airport on it's was to Amsterdam.
