Vagamon -- the Scottish Asia [00:57]
The National Geographic Traveler recommends Vagamon as one of the "50 most attractive places to visit" and tourists would do well to visit this part of Kerala on walking trips for a sense of déjà vu as Vagamon is known as the Scotland of Asia. Vagamon Hill Station is located in Kottayam-Idukki border of Idukki district of Kerala on the Sahya mountains; an outdoor dream featuring beautiful verdant lush green grassy hills, velvet lawns amidst the mist, with a cool climate with the temperature between 10 and 23 °C during a summer. Vagamon is situated 1100 meters above sea level and was discovered by the British who found the place ideal for tea plantations. Present day Kurisumala missionary monks built their monastery here too, and enhanced the local dairy farming industry. Vagamon is an ideal walking destination while on Holiday in India. The nearest popular tourist holiday resort to the more remote hills of Vagamon is Thekkady, a short distance away.

Take a tour of Edinburgh Castle in United Kingdom -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats. Edinburgh Castle is one of Scotland's most important landmarks. It sits atop a volcanic formation known as Castle Rock. The castle dates back to the 1100s, when it was a royal residence. It has withstood several wars throughout the centuries. Robert the Bruce, a medieval Scottish king, stands guard outside. The compound is now a museum and a national war memorial. Edinburgh Castle is a truly breathtaking piece of Scottish history.

Munros - Southern Cairngorms - Part 2 - adverts to be removed!! [08:57]
Remove those stupid adverts you've overlaid on this video YouTube eh? "May your heart keep true to the peaks above; May your feet be sure on the hills you love; May the summer mist and winter storms Never hide your path to the High Cairngorms" For foreys into the Southern Cairngorms, Braemar (formerly Ceann Drochaide or Bridge End) one of the highest villages in Scotland (approx 1100ft above sea-level), makes an ideal 'basecamp' and is allegedly named after Martach (?), a captain of Fergus, one of the early Scottish Kings. The village itself is host to an annual Highland games which have become known colloquially as 'The Games' (originating from those believed to have been held by Malcolm III ). This 'Games Gathering' is held usually on the first Saturday in September and is traditionally attended by the British Royal Family. Braemar's own mountain, the 859m from Gaelic 'Big Hill' or 'Big Nose' Corbett, Morrone, is also worth a hike in good weather for its spectacular views. From Chapel Brae car park by the duck pond an approximate 2-hour hike through the Morrone Birkwoods Natural Nature reserve leads to the mountain indicator. "There is a peculiar grandeur in the Cairngorm mountains at every season of the year; in winter, when the summits and corries are buried deep under glistening snow, and when ptarmigan in their spotless plumage seem almost to rival the snowy wastes in their brilliant colouring; in spring, when summits are free of snow, but when huge fields still lie ...
