Visiting whisky distilleries isn’t something you generally come to the Isle of Mull to do, but if you are visiting and you enjoy a good glass of whisky a visit to the Tobermory Distillery is not a bad idea. Tobermory is the only Distillery on the Isle of Mull, and as such it has a long standing reputation which has been well earned through hard work and a great tasting whisky. The distillery was built in 1798 and can be found on the southern side of the harbor. The surrounding village is very charming and almost all whisky lovers enjoy a tour and whisky tasting at this great little distillery. So why not give the ‘golden treasure’ of the Isle of Mull a try the next time you visit this small Scottish Island? You’ll be inspired by the rich taste and maybe even start to believe the local legends that surround this characteristic beverage.

Tobermory Distillery

Tobermory Distillery has been around since 1823 but has been closed for nearly half that time, considering the number of spells it has been non-functional. The only distillery on the incredibly beautiful Isle of Mull, off the west coast of Scotland, Tobermory is now owned by Burn Stewart Distillers.
