Planning a trip in two years to search for relatives. My father was born in Edinbrough, last name of Gove. His mother's maiden name was Thompson. When is a good time of year to visit Scotland? Thank you for any help.

Sumer! In Juiy the heather is blooming and beautiful! If you go to Edinburgh in August you can go to the Festival events,,, well worth it! Day light in summer is long and the rain warms up!
