Inverness of Fort William?

Hello, my name is Kim and I'm from the Netherlands. I'm traveling to Scotland in a couple of weeks for a 10 days holiday with my boyfriend. First we want to spent a day in Edinburgh and then we're going to visit a friend in Glenrothes one day. After that, we want to spent 5 days in the highlands. We don't want to travel all the time, but stay in one place from where we can do and see things. we we're thinking about either Fort William or Inverness. Things we want to do are: (one day?)trip to Isle of Skye, rafting, walking or /and mountainbiking and maybe a boattrip to see whales or dolfins. Which place should we choose? Inverness seems good because it is easy to reach by train, after the 5 days we're going to Glasgow. But Fort William seems nice because it's close to Ben nevis and glen coe, which I would really love to see. I read something about Glen Affric close to Inverness, is it just as beautiful as glen nevis? Or is it totally different. Would like to get some advice.

So is it the MacBackpackers | 5 Day Skye and Highland Fling | The Ultimate Scottish Experience or the MacBackpackers | 5 Day Skye and Highland Charge! | The Ultimate Scottish Experience

(Both have a lot to pack in in just five days, but I'm sure you'll enjoy yourselves)

it's the charge tour, the fling dates didn't match with our schedule. I think it will be very nice, I only read positive reviews on the internet about macbackpackers.
Just two more weeks before we're going!
