A few questions

Hi all,

I have some more questions about my trip to Scotland. In our trip we would like to take some ferry's:
Ardrossan - Brodick
Lochranza - Claonaig
Mallaig - Armadale
This we will do on our motorcycles (2 people 2 bikes)
I already found some information about the time they leave but can not find if I need to make reservations. Does anyone know?

And we are also looking for a company that arrange boattrips on Loch ness. I can't find it on the internet.

I know that on some calmac ferries you are advised to make reservations for cars, but I'm not sure about bikes. You are as well booking your ferries in advance anyway so I guess at the time you do that you'll find out if reservations are needed.

As for boat trips on Loch Ness, a quick search brings up cruiselochness.com and jacobite.co.uk - either one should offer what you want!

The one I can say for definite doesn't need a reservation is the one from Lochranza - it's only a short trip and the ferries are very frequent so even if it were full you would only have a short time to wait for the next one. I've never made a reservation of the Brodick ferry either but I suppose it depends what time of year you go. You can check the details on Calmac's website.

My maxim is: If in doubt, book, but carry travel insurance just in case you have need of it

thanks, I think I will book before we go so we are sure to get on the boat. We have a schedule so we need to be on time at places so we can not miss a boat.
We are driving 2228,7KM in 3 weeks (that about 1384.8 miles) all around schotland. Can anyone tell me how teh fuell/petrol prices are now?
