Move me please!

I was wondering just how hard it would be to move to Scotland. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

And under what circumstances?

A student? Someone with enough funds to live here? A job to go to?

Lets just say that when my father dies I will have no reason to stay here. And yes I would have more than enough money to live out my days. And enough to benifit Scotland. I am not trying to sound stuck up if I do. I am just speaking the truth. I just was wondering what would be required to move there in a few years.

I would be moving from the US

I want to travel mostly. However I would like to own a couple of shops in Scotland or somethig like that.

Try UK Border Agency | Home Page

Even if you have enough money to live here, there are stringent requirements - the above site should be able to help you.

Thank you much. It is appreciated. I do plan on visiting next spring if all goes as planned. Haven't decided where to start yet. I am very spontanious and don't like to make very structured plans. I know more than a couple of people who get exasperated with me over it.
