My wife and I will be visiting Scotland in June of 2000.I was conceived in Dumbarton,in 1951, and my parents moved to Canada in 1952. As far as i know I still have 2nd and 3rd cousins in the area. Some names i know but most I don't. I was wondering if there is anyone in the Dumbarton area, that may know the following surnames: Storey, Boyle, Swan, Turnbull, Scullion. These are all family names that moved to Canada, but may still be connected to relatives in Scotland. Any ones help would be dearly appreciated.

Willy,
You'll find that those surnames are pretty common in the general area that you mentioned. You'll need a fair bit more information before you'll be able to find anyone specific. |

Hi Willy
(Nice Name!) Most the Scots are SO friendly all you'll have to do is even mention those names & you'll have doors opened to you everywhere! (Besides, It's kind of fun to drive through these wee Scottish villages & see the shops named after your ancestors) Have a great time!!!! ------------------ Di (aka ^..^ ~ Willy) |
