I'm from Portugal and I love Celtic FC. Are Celtic fans in Scotland really a minority? I have heard that Celtic fans and rangers fans hate each other because of the catholic/protestant issue.

Minority?
Put it this way, I have never seen more Celtic shirts in my life than since they won the title last season. All the lemmings have come out of the woodwork... those who cant form their own decisions and so decide to support whichever team is on top. Fair weather fans.

Wink

Hate? I'm sure that there are thoes Rangers/Celtic supporters who hate each other and the sad ones that bring religion into sport but for me (A rangers supporter) I enjoy both the game and the banter. A good night of football on TV for me it in my local pub (which has mostly Celtic fans), where both Rangers and Celtic fans drink and take the mick. Its all done in fun, I have yet to see a fight. Mind you, we all know there is only one team.......lol.......I'll not go there. lol

charlie,

I was only once to an Rangers-Celtic game
( 1.of jan 1983) and I felt in the park head stadium
the hate from the supporters against each others .
Thank God , you can visit in these days a pub , where both sides of supporters can relax and be human !!

from one blue nose to an other blue nose

I'm a Rangers supporter as well, but i should mention that my distaste for Celtic has nothing at all to do with religion and more to do with their whingeing conspiracy theories... oh yes, and the spirit of healthy competion, of course!
