I live in Utah where the 2002 winter olympics are going to be. In the city I live, the junior world championships for curling are taking place. I saw the match between Scotland and France and Scotland won quite handily. The sport is new to me and I don't quite understand it. Any true fans out there?

Angry Curling

I am SHOCKED to see no mention of curling on the scotland.com website under sport. Scotland is ranked very highly in the world in curling, perhaps 3rd after Canada and Sweden. In Hammy McMillan we have a very strong team, and won the World Champioships only 2 years ago. In the upcoming winter olympics we have perhaps Britain's best hope for a gold medal. The Royal Caledonian Curling Club has a site- http://www.rccc.org -as the sports governing body in Scotland. This is in my opinion a great omission, as the sport was created here, and I'm afraid I am distinctly unimpressed at this sites effort to promote tourism in Scotland.

Thanks for that link, Curler.
I'm afraid that curling is not the ONLY glaring omission you will find (or not find) at Scotland.com.
