I like the long shots, have a wee affinity for the US, good people, so hoping they get as far as they can. As for the eventual winners, possibly Argentina or Brasil.

My son's supporting Belgium as his g/f's Belgian.

They've done well so far, winning every game.

Brazil limped through their section but as we all know from experience, their barely-functioning lame-duck routine will suddenly burst into life in the next round.

Well, at least the England boys got an X-Box each out of it, the World Cup version of a Blankety-Blank cheque book and pen. At least it will be useful in teaching them football. I think Scotland will need more than that !

Do you suppose the X-Box FIFA 2014 game features a Suarez with a control button for a biting-tackle ?
