Germany is going to win. I know this because a psychic octopus says so.

A "psychic" octopus is said by its aquarium owners to have predicted the country's football team will knock England out of the World Cup.

When consulted, Paul the octopus chose a mussel from a jar with the German flag on it ahead of one in a similar jar bearing the cross of St George.

The whole of Germany thinks they are going to beat England no problem and are thinking about their next game.

This we've already won and are the conquering heroes is clearly a Saxon trait.

Never a good thing to count your chickens, although what chickens really have to do with this quite escapes me.

Apparently The Sun is angry with the octopus and says the Germans will need 8 legs each to beat the English.

While The Daily Star (another 'newspaper') suggests the Germans are really just Nazis in white tops but then goes onto accuse Germany of being a bunch of mongrels, not of pure Aryan stock one imagines.
