I have a soft spot for County and used to watch them at home when I worked up north. I remember a game against Keith (they had a thing about Keith then) when there were two dozen arrested and the Ref' slapped a guy in the stand (so called) who was shouting remarks about his granny. Halcyon Days indeed, thought I was back at Ibrox! Can'r remember the score though. wullie m

Aye, there were some great games in the Highland League days. I miss those - standing on my own on the grassy knoll, in the rain, watching County getting beaten by Brora. Made being at Hampden in May that bit more special.

Dundee United looking poor this season. The shinty on the box yesterday was first class. Borthwick, the Kingussie keeper's superb stopping the ball with his coupon, was outstanding. blood & snotters all round by the end of the game, Inverary worth losers. When you compare these guys to the overpaid prima-donna's in the Premier! Kinlochsheil v Lochaber a superb finish. Not enough of it on TV. wullie m

I quite agree, and that was a sore looking penalty save! I used to play for Lochaber, many years ago.

I heard that JK Rowling has bought the club. She's re-naming them "Wraith".
