There were 2 Scots in the 3 man cycling pursuit team that won a silver - Chris Hoy an Craqig Maclean.
The majority of the British men's Judo competitors are Scottish. Alison Curbishley and Sinead Dudgeon were out quite quickly in the heats of the 400m and 400m hurdles respectively, although Alison may run in the 4x400m relay. Stephanie Forrester’s was 15th in Saturday morning’s opening triathlon Rhona Simpson and Pauline Stott were in the women's hockey team. Alison Sheppard, the Glaswegian swimmer was a member of the women’s 4x100 metres freestyle relay team who came creditably close to a medal in Saturday’s final In the judo prelims, West Calder’s John Buchanan lost in the up to 60kg category to Spain’s Oscar Penas. Graeme Randall, a medal hopeful, was put out quite quickly too. Simon Needham was elimanted from the Archery at (i think) the quarter final stage Ian Stark was in the equestrian 3 day event tema (i think they got a silver or bronze maybe) I think that's it. I might have missed out a sailor or 2 ------------------ The early bird may catch the worm, But it's the second mouse that gets the cheese |
