Baseball is in Scotland!
Just for your information.
Scotland once had a 12 team baseball league! There isnt much adult baseball right now...the focus is on youth! There are 17 schools in Edinburgh teaching baseball. I think there are more in Glasgow and some in Aberdeen. Scotland has a National Team. http://www.leaguelineup.com/teamscotland The last game played by them had 1000 fans cheering us on! Edinburgh has an adult team http://www.diamonddevils.com Baseball's popularity is improving....give it time! |

Re: Davefarr,
My apologies to begin this, but I would be very interested in seeing a *Scottish* version of baseball. I live in the US, and will be coming over next year. I am lucky enough to have a great friend who grew up in Kirkcudbright (pronounced Kirk - Could - Bright(like the light bright) by myself...
) and will be wed there. I’m taking every available option I know of to get acquainted with the customs of local lure..... and the beer... Any help in making a wayward American feel a *bit at home* would be appreciated.Dva1 *We Love You* |

You'd be more than welcome to come to any of our games. I play for the Edinburgh Diamond Devils ( http://www.diamonddevils.com ) which are the only team playing in Scotland at the moment.
Just keep dropping by our site for updates. Our 2002 season will run from early April until late August/early september. Later Dave |
