Those sports where Scottish sportsmen performed so well at the Commonwealth games are the ones where they benefit from the coaching facilities provided for the Great Britain team. The cyclists for example use the purpose built national cycling centre in Manchester while most of the swimmers who won medals train in England under English coaches. There is no question that they have achieved their potential because they benefit from being a part of the British set up where they train alongside top class English and Welsh athletes. I wouldn't want to change that because I want to see Scottish sportsmen winning at the highest level even if they are representing the GB team.
