Question

The game of golf was invented in Scotland.

Do you believe Tiger Woods to be the greatest golfer or do you think more time is needed to see how he performs in the future?

Cool

There's no doubt that at present he's in a totally different class to anybody else in the game. His record since turning pro is phenomenal. If he can carry on playing as he's doing he'll easily bcome the greatest of all time. As he's only been a pro for 3 years he still has a wee while to go before he can stake that claim though.

When he played St. Andrews in the Dunhill cup last year he was 17under for his four rounds. If he repeats that he obviously stands a very good chance.

His course management is much better now.Made a big difference at Pebble Beach when he realised that if he kept the ball on the fairway it didn't matter if he wasn't hitting 300 yard drives.

If the wind doesn't blow at St.Andrews he might just put together a mind blowing score. Then again, golf has a nasty habit of kicking you in the teeth when you least expect it. Might happen to Tiger someday.

Dougie did you know that Nike made a golf ball for that game only for Tiger? He said on a news report that some of the shots he made would not have went that far if it was not for the ball, his competition said "ball do not win a game, only skill can win. Did you watch the U.S. Open (Pebble Beach) game on T.V.? Was that not a beautiful glof course?

The new ball may enhance his shot but you need the skill in the first place. The way he's playing at the moment I'd back him to win the Kentucky Derby if he entered.

The championship was only shown on subscription sports channels over here and I cancelled mine a few months ago. I have seen Pebble Beach on tv before and would love the opportunity to humiliate myself on such a beautiful course.

LMAO Dougie, though he could probably win the derby. Can't wait till he plays over there, I hope we get it on the telly, we usually do. Are you going to go watch? or just from home?
