World Cup 2006

OK, we all know that Scotland didn't qualify this time but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy the tournament anyway. Just thought it would be interesting to see who everyone wanted to win and who do you think will qualify from each group?

I think the teams in green will qualify from the group stages. As for the winners, I can't see past Brazil.

Group A: Germany, Costa Rica, Poland, Ecuador
Group B: England, Paraguay, Trinidad & Tobago, Sweden
Group C: Argentina, Ivory Coast, Serbia & Montenegro, Netherlands
Group D: Mexico, Iran, Angola, Portugal
Group E: Italy, Ghana, USA, Czech Republic
Group F: Brazil, Croatia, Australia, Japan
Group G: France, Switzerland, Korean Republic, Togo
Group H: Spain, Ukraine, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia

I've been told that a lot of Scotsmen are backing Trinidad and Tobago to win. So much so that they have joined the T&T football site! Makes good reading.

We're supporting T&T just because of the players who play in Scotland.... my jaw hit the floor when they ended up in England's group!!

Oh aye, that's what they are all going to say. We have as good a chance as most this year, so who knows? I know I will enjoy it when all is said and done.

And you can look forward to getting shot of Eriksson after the tournament too.
