That's a bolt from the blue.I think Romanov is a bit of an abrasive character who has his own ideas about running Hearts and there's been a clash of personalities with Burley.

As a supporter of Scottish football, I'm quite dissappointed about the situation. I don't know if this will dent Hearts' chances of challenging Rangers for 2nd place in the SPL , but I sincerely hope it wont.

A shame to see Burley leave in such circumstances after performing to such a high level - its testament to his work that Hearts are now being linked seriously with high profile managers as replacements.

Romanov is making Scottish football a laughing stock.Hearts might welcome his financial clout but how are they going to attract a top class manager when he knows he'll have to work under a dictator?

Err, by offering attractive incentives just like any other 'dictator' you find at many european football clubs from major to minor i expect. Romanov has allowed Scottish football to become, at least for the time, competative rather than the laughing stock two horse race it has been for years.

And it seems Abramovich has turned the Premiership into a pointless one horse race.
