Tartan Army Songs

Here is the true Tartan Army song: "Suas Leis A`Ghaidhlig" by Duncan Reid, Glasgow.

Seist
Togaibh i, togaibh i, canain ar duthcha
Togaibh a suas i gu h-inbhe ro-cliuitich;
Togaibh gu daingainn i `s bithibh rith baigheil
Hi horo, togaibh i; Suas leis a`Ghaidhlig!

That will do for a start.

It may do but I would doubt most of the TA would be able to pronounce the words!

Exactly, L.H.B.K! The so-called Tartan Army are really North British Teutons who should, more appropriately, wear hard hats and boiler suits. The vast bulk of them are indeed unable or unwilling to learn to pronounce the true Scots language words. Instead, they insult the Celtic people of Scotland by exposing themselves indecently. It has ever been thus. Check the history books.

Consequently, the so-called Tartan Army are not entitled to call themselves Celts and are not entitled to wear the Victorian style of Highland dress which is, exclusively, the uniform of the kilted regiments of the British Army.

Well, yes, L.H.B.K.. It follows that, if (a few) members of the Tartan Army also currently belong to the British armed forces or are ex-servicemen who have obtained an honourable discharge, then obviously, these men have earned the right to wear the Victorian version of Highland dress.

It is, however, extremely unlikely that honourable ex-servicemen would disgrace the British Army by exposing themselves indecently.

What do posters think?
