[i]lol..

Hey.. you really need to lighten up a bit.. lol.. what is it with you and the price of things? lol.. Why does that always seem to make its way into your replies? If you are not happy with the price of pop-corn at a movie.. or the price of a Football ticket or even a hot dog at the stand during a game.. well then Dont buy it.. lol..

And on a more serious note.. If you are capable of jumping about.. doing flips.. being thrown in the air and landing on ones head.. well then perhaps, you have a right to comment.. but I have a feeling that you cannot do the stunts that cheerleaders do..

And to be clear, we are not talking about half naked girls on a field just screaming.. for mens enjoyment. Cheerleading is more indepth then that... and if you open your mind up to the possibilities that exist behind the sport, then maybe you will agree.. The only thing that I can suggest is for you to actually sit down and watch a "Cheerleading Compitation" on television.. They do work extreamlly hard. It is not easy doing the stunts that they do.. and never mind falling all the time.. It must be quite exhausting as well.. And during the real Cheerleading compitations.. they don't even scream "Give me a A.. Give me a B" .. lol..

And as far as American Football is concerned.. lol.. urmm.. I'm zippin up on that one

basket ball i cheer for to i just love ftball!
i don't know why we have three colors but alot of schools in boston do
[i] I know Druid.. and trust me.. I am not lessening the extream hard work it takes going into cheerleading.. Like I have said.. I have watched actual Compitations on television.. and I am not talking about wee girls on a field to look pretty.. lol.. See those are the ones in my school.. that I just hated.. lol.. All they did was fix their make-up while the plays were goin on.. lol..

Cheerleading.. the real deal.. is hard work.. and I give credit where credit is due. I am not saying that you guys dont work your bums off.. I am sure you do.. and I know the stunts I've seen on Television.. I couldnt do.. but Football players as well hon.. not only practic just about everyday.. but they too have to workout on their own.. So we will just agree to say that both work really hard..

And as for the colours.. lol.. that was a wee joke hon.. Its all Kool..

I completly agree...

though I would still have to say that I think of it more along the lines of display dancing than I do an actual sport..

if it was labeled a sport then would not other types of the more robust styles of dancing not also be sports...like dirty dancing or the tango..rock and roll... see there are other types of dancing which are every bit as althetic as cheerleading

I think display dancing is the right catagory for this... but I again say that, I think its amazing what you guys do..and I am talking about the work and technical side of it..not the eye candy, which if your honest about is one of its major attractions to your average male watcher

[i]Oh.. Well now.. I have to disagree with ya here ..

What about Figure Skating? Is that not a sport? Pair Skating? Aye man they are both in the Olympics.. lol.. and it's just Dancing on Ice.. Yes with a lot of techniqes.. but still the same, dancing.. and give it time.. I am sure we will see Cheerleading.. lol.. in the Olympics someday..

I do know also that there are Scholarships to certain schools as well from being on a Squad.. So really it must be considered a Sport in more then one section of the Sport World

well yes and it could also be likened to syncronised swimming...which is an accredited sport, as like you say is skating...

and we could furthermore say it has gymnastic qualities...

but its still dance... display dancing
