American Football in Scotland does. Much less than (Association) Football.

In fact it is really a minor sport, smaller than cricket, or may be even shinty here. I wouldn't like to do the figures, but I suspect while both shinty and cricket have smaller spectator levels in Scotland (as opposed to cricket fans who watch the England games) than Gridiron, more people actually play them than Gridiron. It's never truly taken off here, although a lot of money is put into it, and the Claymores were reasonably successful for a while. Soccer (football to me!) and Rugby fill the void.

SR!
Cheerleading is not small in scotland!, We have the UK's only PROFESSIONAL Cheer and dance squad!. The Scottish Rocks Basketball team has a Cheer squad and there are several junior and kiddie Cheer and majorette team. and the Claymores are sending one of their Cheerleaders to be the 1st girl to cheer in NFL Europe and the NFL. NFLE isnt small we get between 10-15,000 at the games (which makes us the 6th supported team in Scotland behind the SRU Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, SFA the the Scottish Claymores. we have about 1,000 players playing in Scotland.
